City Hall Observers
The City Hall Observer program was created by the Cleveland Area Board of REALTORS to ensure that new legislation does not negatively affect the real estate industry or private property owner's rights.
City Hall Observers are the eyes and ears for the real estate industry. CHOs keep the Government Affairs Committee informed of "hot issues." The role of City Hall Observer is an informative role only and not one of advocacy.
CHOs are asked to submit simple forms to report any real estate activity or meeting agendas/minutes to the CABOR staff. It is as simple as that!
The Government Affairs Committee and staff monitor activity in 59 communities in Cuyahoga County alone. We do an extremely effective job, but we need your help to keep up this high level of success. CABOR is trying to build relationships with communities and the CHO program enables us to get our "foot in the door" early in the legislative process.
If you are interested in learning more about the CHO program contact Jamie McMillen at 216-901-0130.
