Cultural Diversity in Housing Mission Statement

Ignorance promotes intolerance. The HUD/NAR Fair Housing Partnership is about identifying and eradicating community attitudes, housing conditions, and marketplace practices that perpetuate discrimination and which create barriers to fair access to housing, equitable choice, and diversified communities. The CDH Committee is committed to eliminating intolerance among real estate practitioners and in the general public through issue-specific communication and education. Issues, priorities and resources differ from place to place. Therefore, the CDH will focus its efforts on "creative collaboration"...the how-to of partnering outside the REALTOR circle and thinking 'Out-of-the-Box'...in training, public education, self-testing, affirmative marketing, cultural diversification, and similar other activities that promote government, and community life. By design and definition these initiatives are highly proactive. Their actual fulfillment requires energy and enterprise from institutions and individuals.
