CABOR Mission
Mission The mission of the Cleveland Area Board of REALTORS® (CABOR) is to be the leading resource and advocate for the real estate community, to enhance the ability, conduct and image of its members and to protect and promote real property rights.
History CABOR was incorporated on June 25th 1892 and was originally known as The Cleveland Real Estate Board. Daniel Taylor was its first President, and its first office was a rented room in the building that stood on the corner of Euclid Avenue and Public Square, where the BP building stands today. A fire destroyed the building in 1895 and regular meetings were discontinued until 1906. Interestingly, a multiple listing service was available at the time. It consisted of a clerk authorized to receive and register descriptions of available property.
Summary The Cleveland Area Board of REALTORS®, abbreviated CABOR, is a professional organization for REALTORS ® and businesses that work in or with the real estate industry. CABOR provides a variety of services to its members including education, insurance, affinity programs and legislative representation, as well as membership in the Ohio Association of REALTORS ® (OAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) |
